KEITH HENRY

Keith Henry, a native of Galveston County, Texas, has dedicated his life to public service and community empowerment.
Raised in public housing, Keith’s journey reflects resilience and a commitment to uplifting others.
He recently served as Commissioner for the City of Texas City District, with experience spanning all levels of government, nonprofit work, and education as a board-certified special education teacher. Keith has been recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree in Galveston County and by the Texas Coalition of Democrats. His accolades include the City of Texas City Cultural Excellence Award, the “For the People” Award for mental health advocacy, and induction into Galveston’s first African American museum.
Keith holds a Bachelor’s in English from Buffalo State University, a Master’s in Public Administration from Texas Southern University, and completed his Ph.D. course work in Public Policy at Walden University.
His vision is to drive meaningful change and inspire progress for all.
